What Is Snail Secretion Filtrate?

Snail Secretion Filtrate (SSF), commonly known as snail mucin, is a complex mixture of glycoproteins, hyaluronic acid, glycolic acid, allantoin, and antimicrobial peptides secreted by snails for skin regeneration. Originally popularized by Korean skincare, SSF has been clinically shown to accelerate wound healing, stimulate collagen production, reduce hyperpigmentation, and intensely hydrate. The glycolic acid provides mild exfoliation while the glycoproteins and HA deliver deep moisture. Cruelty-free extraction methods collect mucin without harming snails.
