A polyethylene glycol sorbitan ester produced by ethoxylating sorbitan Palmitic Acid (C16) with 80 moles of ethylene oxide. This nonionic surfactant/emulsifier is highly hydrophilic (solubilizer, detergent). It is used in cosmetic formulations to blend oil and water phases, solubilize fragrances and oils, and improve product texture.
